Traditional Taijiquan at Lake Constance
Lecture evening with Dietmar Stubenbaum
on 01.12.2016 at 20:00 in Friedrichshafen
Admission free
As a guest of the Lions Club Friedrichshafen, Dietmar will give curious listeners who are not at all familiar with Asian martial arts a look behind the scenes of Taijiquan.
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), as well as Taijiquan and Qigong, are methods for promoting health and relaxation that have now become established and accepted in the West. However, much of their origin has been lost in the transfer of traditional Far Eastern principles to modern Western culture. Not only TCM but also Taijiquan and Qigong are said to have a history dating back thousands of years. The movements of Taijiquan are imitated as relaxation and breathing exercises and appear to have nothing to do with martial arts.
What is the real story here and what is fiction and truth?
The lecture was organized by the "Gesellschaft zur Erforschung und Praxis des Kleinen Rahmen Chen Clan e.V." in cooperation with the Lions Club*.
