Dr. Julian Braun will once again be giving a lecture this year, this time on the topic: "The common path of brush and sword - philosophy and ethics of Japanese martial arts of the Tokugawa period (1603-1868)"

Bunbu-ryodo, the "common path of brush and sword", is the central paradigm of the samurai in Japan during the Tokugawa period (1603-1868). The synthesis of martial prowess, philosophy and the cultivation of one's own personality that was brought to perfection here has had a significant influence on the fathers of modern budo arts such as karate, judo and aikido and continues to have an impact today.

All interested parties are cordially invited to attend, regardless of whether they are participating in the fall camp.

The lecture will take place in Gym 3 of the KJC Ravensburg, Brühlstraße 36, 88212 Ravensburg.
